On a foggy day
Do you ever wake up and think that today is going to be special? That's what I thought this Friday when I woke up to fog. Fog and frost. Frost so heavy it spiked on the grass, my car antenna, and most remarkably on the trees. I drove by the river with my lunch to enjoy the fog and frost and just sat back and enjoyed the view. The trees were so beautiful painted with hoary frost as if time were standing still. Uh oh. I'm starting to get philosophical :). I think it's time to just share the pictures and say it was really a gorgeous day. Hope you have a great day as well!

That is my favorite thing in the world. Just today in SLC Dick and I were talking about missing everything looking like that. Ifeel bad we missed it. I'm glad you shared pics. Sayda
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you shared those pictures! I wanted to pull my camera out and get some shot of the beautiful frost, but by the time I was done scraping the darn stuff off my car windows I was late for institute and my desire to remember it disappeared until later in the day.
ReplyDeleteWow!! There are trees in Idaho?! :) These are gorgeous pictures! We don't get weather like that here, but we do get lots of ice. The trees sparkle with each branch encased in ice and it is beautiful. But not like time standing still . . . wow. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are really good Cindy. You are becoming very apt at taking pictures. Who knew little old Burley could look that lovely?
ReplyDeleteCindy, thanks for helping us share some of Burley when we're 7,000 miles away in a very hot 90degree Argentina summertime. Beautiful photos that envelope us with memories of our hometown of 40 years.
ReplyDeleteWe're a regular blog visitor to

Your pictures are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThere really is something special about seeing the frost froze on the trees.
Those trees against the bright blue sky really are breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteNice job on the pics! You captured the Burley Foggy-Frost stuff really well.
