On a foggy day

Do you ever wake up and think that today is going to be special? That's what I thought this Friday when I woke up to fog. Fog and frost. Frost so heavy it spiked on the grass, my car antenna, and most remarkably on the trees. I drove by the river with my lunch to enjoy the fog and frost and just sat back and enjoyed the view. The trees were so beautiful painted with hoary frost as if time were standing still. Uh oh. I'm starting to get philosophical :). I think it's time to just share the pictures and say it was really a gorgeous day. Hope you have a great day as well!

An Ol' Fashioned Sunday

Isn't this a great picture?! Tricia took it on her phone and I swiped it from her for obvious reasons...

I love it.

It was taken during my last visit to Utah on a Sunday morning. It's a little crooked and we're all in our pj's and some of us haven't done their hair yet. Like me. Tricia's hair is suppose to look like that :). I don't know how many times while I was growing up we'd all end up on someone's bed (usually mom and dad's because it was so giant) talking or napping or playing games. Thank goodness some things never change!

Me - Right now!

Janiece and Mindy Haws tagged me for this fun post.
Here are the rules:
1. Take a picture of yourself... riiiiiight... NOW!
2. DO NOT change your clothes. DO NOT fix your hair... Just take a picture.
3. Post that picture with NO editing.
4. Post these instructions with your picture.
5. Tag 5 people

I only have a few people with blogs that read my posts. So I tag Mindy and Janiece. No wait; they've already done this. Therefore, I tag anyone within the sound of my voice, errr, ummm, within the vicinity of a computer. I promise that its not as bad as it seems especially when you take 20 pictures :). No wonder I look so good!

May ol' aquaintances be soon forgot

Opps. I'm pretty sure that's NOT how the song goes but at the moment I'm stumped for the correct words :).

New Years Eve was a quiet affair at Mom's house with just Mom and Dad, Chris, Tricia and myself. We tried out Chris's new George Foreman grill and Tricia made paninis. Talk about yummy! I think it's all about the bread because she found this really great rosemary bread that was just perfect.

Chris had bought a 1000 piece puzzle for the night thinking that after our last catastrophe with our brain numbing 500 piece blue beast that we were up to anything, but after three hours Chris and Tricia dropped out for a couple of rounds of Sorry! and Zonk. I'm not sure if it was the 28 windows in just one house or the trees all the exact same color, but this one was a doosy!
Three puzzles in one week was a bit much for me so I joined them for their last game of Zonk. I didn't do so red hot. :)

I'm not sure if I'm getting old or if it was because I had to show up to work at 8:30 am that morning, but after I toasted the new year with my martinelli's and my family, I went home to my bed. Nighty night! And Happy New Year!
